The ZDNet UK’s blog First Take has just reviewed Jabbakam.
A short excerpt from the reviewer’s summary:
“An innovative take on video surveillance, Jabbakam is very new, with only a few seed networks so far. That said, it’s likely to be of interest to anyone concerned about security, from homeowners worried about possible break-ins to farmers wanting to keep an eye on crops or livestock.”
It’s great that we’re getting some blog coverage so early into the project.
We at Jabbakam love WordPress. In fact it’s powering the blog you are reading now. The great thing about WordPress is that it is highly customizable and there are loads of plugins available. Well, we decided to get in on the action and write our own plugin which makes it easy for you to embed one of your videoclips into a blog post to share with others.
Like this one.
To add this functionality to your own blog, simply download and install the “Jabbakam Post Embed plugin” (instructions on the WordPress plugin site). Once installed, just go into your Jabbakam inbox, select a video clip you’d like to share and click on the WordPress icon within the Share dialogue screen. Jabbakam will then display a URL that you can copy and paste directly into your blog post and then your video clip will automatically be available to your visitors when they view the post.
For more infomation, see the plugin homepage.

We have lots of stuff in the pipelines which should be rolling out over the next few weeks so we thought that it was about time we had somewhere to tell everyone about things as they happen.
