More Snow – Time to Adjust Motion Detection

As the “Big Freeze” is set to return to the UK, it may be wise to adjust your cameras’ motion detection settings.

Last week, during the heavy snow in the UK we saw a heavy rise in the number of clips being uploaded to Jabbakam. We managed to track the cause down to falling snowflakes continually triggering cameras recording.

The more clips that are uploaded to Jabbakam, the more credits are consumed. To keep your costs down, we recommend that you adjust your motion detection settings so your camera is less sensitive to the falling snow.

If you have a Y-cam enabled camera, you can adjust the settings within Jabbakam, for other cameras, please refer to the manufacturer’s manual.
